Here in the UK, we are seeing many incentives and restrictions which are encouraging the move to electric vehicles. They are no longer cost prohibitive and ‘range anxiety’ is being reduced as technology improves.
All new build homes will soon be built with EV charging capability and the pressure is on for all commercial buildings to introduce them for their employees. There are also associated benefits to installing chargers at your workplace, including the ability to evidence your ‘green credentials’ as a business, as a step towards becoming ‘net zero’.
As well as introducing more public use EV chargers, the government has launched several schemes for residential and commercial properties to try and make EV chargers more affordable and to support the wider use of electric and hybrid vehicles via the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV).
