Do you do domestic work?
We are focused on commercial and industrial projects but if you have specialist requirements on a residential project, we are more than happy to offer our services.
Do you offer a callout service?
We don’t offer a domestic callout service. We do offer a full after-care service for any customer we have carried out work for.
Do you offer a lighting design service?
Yes, this is an area of specialism for us, with a focus on energy efficiency and safety. Early engagement ensures we can add the most value to a project through our experience and knowledge.
What's your first consideration when designing electrical systems?
Your safety.
Can you install an electric vehicle charger at my home?
At your home, your place of work, or anywhere that has the appropriate supply. We can survey, supply and install. ECO MEP are on the UK Government’s list of Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme and the Workplace Charging Scheme authorised installers.
Can I have two EV chargers on my household supply?
Dependent on your supply, this may require some additional effort in terms of load management. We can carry out a survey to confirm this.
How big does my generator need to be for my site?
How long is a piece of string? Following a survey, we will size your generator accordingly – we don’t do waste!
Can you test my electrics for faults or hazards?
Safety and testing is a fundamental element of what we do. We can also check to see if savings can be had as well as ensuring the supply is sufficient to cover your appliances and patterns of use.
Do you carry out load monitoring?
Yes – we offer a range of monitoring and analysis services. eco Electrical can measure load characteristics over a specified period of time, and deliver a detailed report, making recommendations based on the data and ensuring you can make an informed decision about any need for change.
Can you assess my building's suitability for alternative forms of heating?
We can survey, make recommendations, and supply you with the information you require to make important decisions.
Do you install heat pumps?
Yes, we are appropriately qualified and experienced in installing heat pumps, but depending on the requirements, we may bring in the services of a specialist mechanical engineer as well. We can survey, make recommendations, and supply you with the information you require to make important decisions.
Do you carry out PAT tests?
This isn’t a service we offer in isolation, but we can carry out PAT testing as part of an overall project’s delivery.
Can you replace my lighting with a more energy efficient option?
Yes, we can. The biggest and most simple change you can make is to introduce LED lamps which use up to 60% less energy and last up to fifteen times longer than standard lamps. Beyond this we can survey your existing system, make recommendations, and supply you with the information you require to make important decisions.
Can we choose our own products for you to install?
We only work with products that have been approved as safe and appropriate for the task. However, we are happy for you to source and purchase your own products once we have discussed and agreed what you need for your project. Depending on the requirements, we may bring in the services of a specialist product engineer to assist us.
