Nestled in the Kentish village of Marden is multi-award winning and internationally recognised gin distillery, Anno. From humble beginnings in 2011, the distillery now produces a range of 14 different core spirits and limited editions.
Like many businesses, Anno are keen to give due attention to their environmental impact in consideration of net zero goals. They have made changes to processes and packaging in this vein and are continuing to do so.
Their latest initiative was to get in touch with ECO to investigate the potential to upgrade the lighting system within the distillery.

Delivery
ECO MEP surveyed the lighting system, proposed, supplied and installed an LED system in place of the energy guzzling metal halide and fluorescent tubes. Not only will Anno’s energy consumption be significantly reduced but Andy Reason (Anno’s founder) was more than impressed by the improved light output and quality provided by the new LED units.
Beyond this, Andy’s next project is to introduce energy recycling in the distilling process with the use of heat exchangers.
