Delivery
In the pre construction phase, we designed detailed plans for phased removal of existing mechanical and electrical installations to integrate the new MEP systems with existing building structures and layout. Identifying long lead times for components was key to planning the procurement schedules and aligning deliveries with the phased construction and installation timelines.
Temporary MEP diversions were put in place during the construction phase to ensure continued operation of unaffected areas during the strip out.
Mechanical installations included new ductwork, pipework, and foundational elements for HVAC systems in phased areas, and the connection of HVAC components, plumbing fixtures, and sanitary ware.
Electrical installation of route cables, containment systems, and lay containment for power distribution and lighting systems, along with the lighting fixtures, power outlets, switches and distribution boards.
Testing was undertaken of each phased installation for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to BS7671.
Operational training for each phase’s MEP systems was demonstrated, and updated Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals were handed over, reflecting the phased completion of the project.
